Margot Robbie wants to make a Barbie musical | Entertainment

Margot Robbie would love to do a “Barbie” musical.

The 33-year-old actress starred in the 2023 film “Barbie” and has previously discussed the possibility of directing a “big, crazy musical” with director Greta Gerwig.

When asked about the possibility of doing a “Barbie” musical, Margot told “Entertainment Tonight”: “Believe me, it's not the first… it's not the first time we've thought about it, Yeah.

“It's so much fun when you can turn everything into one big crazy musical number. Everything is infinitely more fun.”

Greta, 40, is also excited about directing a musical.

The director actually admitted that “nothing would make her happier”.

She shared, “I really love musicals. I mean, nothing would make me happier. So I would love a musical.”

Meanwhile, Margot previously revealed she hoped people would “make up their own minds” about “Barbie” – even if they didn't like the film.

Speaking to “Entertainment Tonight” ahead of the film's release, Margot explained: “I'm so excited.

“We're about to share it with the world. There's always that thing when you make a movie and you love it and you care about it so much and you hope people will like it and even Like even if they don't like it, I just hope they see it and can form an opinion.

“But I feel like so many people are going to see this movie that it’s really exciting.”

Margot also praised the director for creating a unique film.

She said: “This is truly Greta’s vision.

“I mean, the vision for 'Barbie' obviously started 64 years ago, but Greta brought it into the world today in a way that only Greta Gerwig can do, that's what makes this film is worth making now.”
