Microsoft plans to display ads in the “Recommended” area of the Windows 11 Start menu, so the company wants to show apps and sites that it recognizes and that may be of interest to you. This is currently in testing, so it is possible not to know the many opinions of users on the respect of their use.
In this case, users will have the option to deactivate whenever they want. To do this, go to Settings > Personalization > Start and remove the list or “Show recommendations for apps, promotions and more” to disable Start menu ads. This is the form that Microsoft announced or “recurso”.
We now have recommendations to help you discover recommended Microsoft Store apps in the Start menu. It will be exposed only to Windows Insiders in the EUA beta and will not be applied to commercial devices (devices managed by organizations). This can be disabled in Settings > Personalization > Start and disable the “Show recommendations, app promotions and more” button.
This is one of several recent changes planned to promote applications and services on Windows. Some users may find recommended apps and sites in the Start menu, and app developers will definitely appreciate an additional opportunity to promote their apps.
