NFL Week 17 weather report: Rain, snow and freezing temperatures could impact key games

We only have two weeks left NFL regular season before we go into playoff mode. Over the last two weeks, teams in the playoffs have been battling for the top seeds, while those in the hunt are trying to extend their season.

Several games this week could be affected by the weather, with rain, snow and freezing temperatures predicted for several games.

Snow has already hit Chicago for the winter New Year's game. Here's a look at current conditions at Solider Field.

Location: Soldier Field, Chicago, Illinois
Weather Forecast: Afternoon dream showers
Precipitation chances at start: 46 percent chance of dreams
Temperature at start: 34 degrees
Wind factor: 10-15 mph

breakdown: Falcons quarterback Taylor Heinicke has been limited in practice, so he's one to watch out for. The Bears are on the brink of playoff elimination, as are the Falcons, but in a tight race in the NFC South at 7-8, with Buccaneers at 8-7 and saints at 7-8.

Location: Highmark Stadium, Buffalo, New York
Weather Forecast: Cloudy with periods of light rain and snow later in the day
Precipitation chances at start: 70 percent chance of rain
Temperature at start: 38 degrees
Wind factor: 5-10 mph

breakdown: The Patriots' playoff chances are gone, but the Bills still have a chance to win the AFC East, so they need this win in the division.

Location: Lumen Field, Seattle, Washington
Weather Forecast: Cloudy early in the day, possible rain during the day
Precipitation chances at start: 21 percent chance of rain
Temperature at start: 49 degrees, low of 39 degrees
Wind factor: 2-4 mph

breakdown: Mason Rudolph is expected to start at quarterback for the Steelers. The Seahawks would be the No. 7 seed if the season ended today, so they're looking to hang on to that playoff spot.

Location: Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri
Weather Forecast: Partly cloudy, possible rain and snow
Precipitation chances at start: Chance of rain/snow 5 percent during the day and night
Temperature at start: 38 degrees, low of 25 degrees

breakdown: The Chiefs can no longer reach the No. 1 seed in the playoffs and after a big loss to Raiders they look to bounce. The Bengals remain on the bubble at #9.
