According to multiple sources [1] rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine was brutally attacked by a group of men while inside a South Florida LA Fitness steam room on March 21, 2023. The attack occurred without warning and left the rapper with extensive injuries to his face, jaw, ribs, and back. He was rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance for treatment. Video footage of the attack has surfaced on social media showing one man continuously hitting Tekashi while he tries to defend his face.
Tekashi’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, said that the rapper attempted to fight back during the attack but was overpowered and outnumbered.
It is unclear where in South Florida the attack occurred as CBS News Miami was unable to reach Lazzaro for comment.The motive for the attack remains unknown.
Tekashi 6ix9ine is a controversial rapper who has been arrested on several RICO charges in 2018 and ultimately released from prison in 2020 after testifying against multiple members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang.
Since then, he has been labeled a “snitch” by some members of the rap community. It is unclear if this assault is related to his past legal troubles.
