The Steelers and Ravens have half of their regular season finale in the books. Through two quarters of this Week 18, these clubs are tied at seven each.
Overall, the first half was slow for these AFC North rivals, in part due to the wet weather. In total, there were six punts and three fumbles between these teams, but there were also some offensive outbursts. On their second drive of the game, the Steelers orchestrated a 12-play, 76-yard touchdown drive as Najee Harris rushed into the end zone for a six-yard score. It was Harris' eighth rushing touchdown of the year, a new career high.
As the half progressed, it was a tall order for Baltimore, which was resting most of its starters with the No. 1 seed already clinched. Tyler Huntley, starting in place of Lamar Jackson, had just five passing yards until he took the ball at 5:07 of the second quarter and led the Ravens on a 71-yard touchdown run that was capped by a 27-yard catch and run by Isaiah Likely into the end zone.
As we noted, the Ravens don't play much in this game, but the same can't be said for the Steelers, who are still looking to secure a playoff spot. If they win, they would need the Bills or Jaguars (or a tie) to lose and they would get in. They could also reach the playoffs with a Jaguars loss, a Broncos win and Saturday's other game between the Texans and Colts. ending in a tie, but a win here certainly puts them ahead of the game.
So, will the Steelers get a win and move one step closer to a playoff spot? Or will the Ravens' backups take over from the starters and finish the year on a high note heading into their playoff run? We're about to find out. As this game continues to unfold, check out our live blog from Saturday's contest. Below you'll find expert analysis and real-time highlights of all the top plays.
