The Morning After: Introducing the Best of CES 2024

That's the end of our CES coverage, closing out the week with deeper dives from the tech show and showcasing our .

This year, rather than awarding prizes to specific categories, possibly in categories lacking competition (or anything good enough), we announced a group of winners in several categories. We've always tried to see as many products and devices as possible, whether it's laptops, mobile devices and smart home equipment or cars and home innovations. accessibility.

You should check out the full list of winners, but our Best of Show went to the GE Profile Smart Indoor Smoker. I know: CES is more usually a TV show or a car show, but sometimes it's niche products that appeal to us.

GE Profile

The Smart Indoor Smoker is a countertop device that allows you to have a good barbecue in your kitchen without filling your house with smoke. It moves the air around the food to give it maximum smoke, without letting the air escape. When your brisket, chicken or whatever is cooked, a filtration and catalyst system draws in the smoke, ultimately expelling it as hot air. It's not small, but it's sleek and simple to use, with a low barrier to entry for anyone tempted to try smoking their own food. The device could also impart an impressive level of smoke in just a few hours.

Be sure to check out all the winners . Expect a few more stories from the team today and this weekend, but for me, it's time to leave Las Vegas. Until next year!

The LG Bon Voyage concept trailer contains many of LG's big CES hits, revamped and restyled for near-future camping that's both incredibly comfortable and… improbable. LG Labs' inexplicable capsule coffee machine, the Duobo, which looks like a lunar lander, nestles inside the trailer, next to a microwave. However, you can access the refrigerator from the outside. A nesting table, on the other side of the door, incorporates an induction burner. There's a giant OLED screen above another sliding surface, and at the back of the trailer there's a portable karaoke set, with two wireless mics and a speaker. Oh, and cocktail accessories on each side. Should I repeat myself? Glamping.

Now is the perfect time to buy a solar generator

CES 2024 showed how technology is finally getting there.

This year's CES showed that the solar energy industry has surpassed its former limits. The cost of solar panels and batteries has fallen dramatically in recent years, making them easier to sell.

The new EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra, the company's flagship whole-home backup, can pump out 7,200 W. The company says the unit is powerful enough to power a three-ton central air conditioning unit, one of the devices most demanding household appliances. Plus, because it's modular, you can add up to three units in the same home for a cumulative output of 21.6 kW and, with enough batteries, a total storage capacity of 90 kWh.

Solix, Anker's major battery division, has introduced its new F3800 portable power station, which can produce a maximum power of 6,000W, enough to power an electric vehicle.
