In a very relevant moment, NASA struggled for three months to remove the lid from its asteroid sample container, after sending it to deep(ish) space and back. Same, NASA, same: I had trouble with pickle jars.
The space agency finally managed to enter the sample container of the asteroid Bennu last week and released a high resolution image of its Touch-and-Go-Go-Sample Acquisition Mechanism (TAGSAM) on Friday, revealing a delightful array of dust and rocks, scraped from Bennu by the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft.
The TAGSAM sits in a special glove box to prevent sample contamination, and only certain tools are approved for use with it. The team ultimately had to develop new tools to open the fasteners. Tapping it on the side of the kitchen counter didn't work.

A 1,440p gaming powerhouse for $599.

Its base clock speed is also a bit higher than before. Combined with the power of DLSS3 upscaling, the 4070 Super is a much more capable 4K gaming card.
Russian state-sponsored hackers accessed emails of top Microsoft executives
This is the same group of hackers behind the SolarWinds cyberattack.
Microsoft said a hacking group linked to a Russian intelligence agency accessed the emails of several of its senior executives and other employees. It says a hacking group known as Midnight Blizzard or Nobelium is responsible — the same group behind the 2020 SolarWinds cyberattack. Microsoft and U.S. cybersecurity officials have said Nobelium was part of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).
The hackers accessed a small percentage of Microsoft's corporate email accounts, including members of senior management and employees in the cybersecurity and legal teams.
