“Yes! This is the service we got after paying INR 4.5 lakh to Air India,” Garg wrote while sharing the video on Instagram. In the following lines, she added, “We were on a flight Air India from Delhi to Toronto, traveling with our 2 kids (2.5 years and 7 months). And let me share our travel experience. All three of us were seated together and unfortunately almost everything was not functional .

She continued: “From broken seats to no entertainment system. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the broken seat handle and literally had to protect my toddler from injury because all the wires were sticking out of the system. And even after complaining to the crew/staff several times, no action was taken. It seems they rebooted the system, but everything still didn't work. We found ourselves helpless with two children and had to manage everything ourselves.

“First, the ticket prices are already too high, and on top of that, instead of making the journey easier for passengers, you have made it inconvenient, especially for parents traveling with their children,” Garg concluded by tagging Air India .

The video opens to show dysfunctional in-flight entertainment systems in the three seats Garg reserved for his trip to Toronto. As the video continues, she can be seen using a flashlight as the reading lights were not functional. The video ends with a text insert that says: “This was not expected on a 15 hour flight!” »

Here's how people reacted to the video:

“I couldn’t agree more on this! I booked my round trip for $3,000 just for me and it was the exact same experience I had! Absolutely not worth it,” one individual posted.

Another added: “I traveled on AI 306 in July, the screen panel was unresponsive and the remote control did not work. Luckily the middle seat was empty so I used that instead. It is the responsibility of airlines to at least carry out a functional check of all seats and equipment.

“I experienced the same thing from Toronto to Delhi. I literally felt so bad for us paying so much money,” expressed a third.

A fourth commented: “This is exactly what we experienced. Air India flight. Delhi to Heathrow.

“Oh my God! This is terrible. This would have been so difficult with two kids,” a fifth wrote.
