The 10-episode first season of “House of the Dragon” aired from August 21 to October 23, 2022. It was renewed for season 2 just a week after the series premiered. which attracted record audiences for HBO.
Filming for “House of the Dragon” Season 2 has begun at Warner Bros. Leavesden Studios on April 11, 2023. Filming was unaffected by the Writers Guild of America strike (which began on May 2 and lasted until September 27) and the SAG-AFTRA strike ( which began on July 14) because the scripts were completed before filming began.
