Google Chrome is testing a new option to install sites as desktop apps on PC. A new feature was found by X (pre-Twitter) user Leopeva64 in our experiments on the Canary version of Google Chrome for Windows and macOS.
In Chrome Canary, all pages are now “installable”, Google added a new item “Install page as app…” to the Save & Share submenu:https://t.co/79NFQQmMf3

To start a new life, it is precise to access and activate your two experiences inside the browser:
chrome://flags/#web-app-universal-install
chrome://flags/#shortcuts-not-apps
As we can see the abaixo image, allow experiments to create a new option in the menu Configuration > Download and share Google Chrome called “Install page as application…”. It is literally a PWA (Progressive Web App) of the site that behaves like a native application on the computer.
PWA apps will be opened to a single person with your icon and can be fixed in both the work area and the pricing bar.
On the other hand, some sites have added toolbar integration with a tool to install your own PWA. Between them, YouTube and Reddit, but in short, any site can be used for a web application.
At this time, Google Chrome Canary is in version 124, while the browser version is 122. This form, it is expected that this new version will also be launched in Google Chrome in the coming months.
