Information obtained by user Nicolás Álvarez of X (previously Twitter) indicates that Apple Maps finally allows users to request custom rotations. The app still offers rotations, but you can better control the path you want to take.
It looks like two new features are coming to Apple Maps in iOS 18 and macOS 15:
– “Custom itinerary creation” (only in the United States for now).
– Topographic maps (like watchOS 10).I found this yesterday but didn't want to tweet before @MacRumors I published it 😅https://t.co/YF7CKru1Du

In addition to the best series of topographic map additions on iOS 18, this path is already present from watchOS 10 and you finally have to download it on iPhone.
The difference of the topographic map is that it shows contour lines, hill slopes and various elevation details alone, as well as points of interest for those Gostam to cross through the parks and mountains.
This information is useful, but it indicates a difficulty, a purchase and a type of trip, or it is not possible to see a map of the common plan.
