Every gram counts in commercial flying. Materials scientists at Kobe University have discovered “nanospheres» which are almost invisible silicone crystals. Particles can reflect light thanks to very broad and efficient scattering, research published in the Nano material applied by ACS log details. The result could mean covering a surface in bright colors while adding just 10 percent of the weight of an airplane's paint for the same effect.
Minoru and Hiroshi's discovery focuses on structural color rather than pigment color to expose and maintain hues. The first absorbs wavelengths while reflecting those captured by the human eye. Structural colors, on the other hand, are intense and bright when light interacts with micro- and nanostructures. Although the main commercial benefits are on airplanes, the paint could have many other uses simply because of its brightness.

Framework sells its cheapest modular laptop. It has lowered the price of its Factory Seconds B-stock systems (which are built with surplus parts and new components). As such, it now offers a barebones Framework Laptop 13 configuration for under $500 for the first time ever. The 13-inch machine comes with an 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with Iris Xe graphics. So the processor should be sufficient for most basic tasks and some moderate gaming. However, you'll need to add RAM, storage, a power supply, an operating system, and (probably) even a Wi-Fi card.
