“Sister Wives” star Christine Brown broke her silence on her family tragedy on Thursday.
Christine, 51, took to Instagram to post about Garrison Brown, who died of an apparent suicide at 25 earlier this week.
Garrison was found dead Tuesday at his home in Flagstaff, Ariz., from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, Flagstaff police confirmed to the Post.
“Garrison was a wonderful, caring brother who understood Truely's need for a hobby and built her a flower bed,” Christine wrote via Instagram. She shared a video of Garrison working out with her youngest daughter, Truely, 13, at their home.
“He will be missed forever,” she wrote.
Garrison was the son of Kody Brown, 55, and his wife, Janelle Brown, 54.
The TLC reality show, which has aired since 2010, follows the polygamous Brown family: her husband Kody, his four wives Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn and their 18 children.
Christine shares six children with Kody, and after 27 years of spiritual marriage, they announced their divorce in November 2021.
“Kody and I separated and I made the difficult decision to leave”, the polygamous couple revealed on Instagram at the time.
“We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we raise our beautiful children and support our wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate this time within our family. With love, Christine Brown.
She later married her boyfriend David Woolley in October 2023.
Janelle and Kody, meanwhile, publicly split in December 2022. The exes are also parents to five other children and grandparents to three.
Meri and Kody, for their part, announced their separation after 32 years in January 2023 “after a decade of working on our relationship in our own way.”
Robyn remains the only woman still with Kody since he legally married in 2014. The family lived in Utah before moving to Las Vegas.
Garrison has appeared on the series since its debut. He initially expressed interest in joining the military, but ended up the national guardwhich was covered on the show – just like Garrison and his brother Gabe who left that house for Flagstaff due to Kody's Strict COVID-19 Rules.
“We are devastated to learn of the tragic loss of Garrison Brown,” a TLC spokesperson said. told the Post in a report. “We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Brown family during this difficult time.”
“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown,” Janelle54 years old, and Kody55 years old, posted on their separate site Instagram after TMZ broke the news of his death.
“He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big void in our lives that it will take our breath away. We ask that you respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory,” they said.
Christine's former “sister-wife” Meri Brunalso paid tribute to Garrison, echoing Janelle and Kody's statements.
