2023 Bowl Games schedule, college football scores today, live updates: LSU, Tennessee pick up wins

College football games are upon us as the 2023 playoffs begin with a series of matchups that will mark the celebration of an exciting year in the sport. The action begins on Saturday, December 16 and continues through the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday, January 8 as we crown the national title winner for the 2023 season.

Bowl action returns on New Year's Day with five games, including both College Football Playoff semifinals, marking the unofficial end of the College Football Playoff before the national championship is decided on January 8.

No. 13 LSU and Wisconsin got things started in the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa, with the Tigers earning a hard-fought victory. That was followed by No. 8 Oregon throttling No. 23 Liberty in the Fiesta Bowl and No. 21 Tennessee shutting out Iowa in the Citrus Bowl. With the first games over, it's time for the CFP semifinals pitting No. 1 Michigan against No. 4 Alabama in the Rose Bowl at 5 p.m. ET, followed by No. 2 Washington against No. #3 from Texas to Sugar. Bowl at 8:45 p.m.
