All the best deals in Best Buy’s Presidents’ Day sale

Although it doesn't have the reverence of Black Friday, Presidents Day is actually a very good time to do business. Many stores have set up dedicated sales to help you celebrate George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, just like the past presidents intended. Best Buy is particularly known for its robust Presidents' Day sales, and this year is no exception.

The retailer has officially cut the ribbon on this year's deals and Engadget is here to find the cream of the crop. Here are the best finds from Best Buy's Presidents' Day sale. There's a lot of technology, but no axes to chop down a cherry tree (sorry, George.)

Two years later, this is still the latest version of Apple's entry-level tablet. Even though it's a bit long, it's still a great tablet, perfect for consuming content, playing games, and surfing the web. The 10th generation iPad usually costs $450, so this is a massive $100 discount.

The A14 Bionic chip is a great performer, with enough power to perform tasks like exporting 4K video clips and editing RAW photos in Lightroom. Battery life is robust, with USB-C charging, and the landscape-oriented front camera is a great addition. The screen doesn't have an anti-glare coating, like the iPad Air, and it doesn't support the P3 wide color gamut. Otherwise, it's well worth a purchase, especially at this price.

Portable gaming has come a long way in recent years, thanks to the meteoric success of consoles like the Steam Deck and, of course, the ASUS ROG Ally. This surprisingly powerful handheld usually costs $700, but Best Buy I saved $100 in honor of famous player Abraham Lincoln (he absolutely smashed Hells.)

This portable console easily made our list of best portable gaming systems, and for good reason. It has a user-friendly interface and enough power to play modern PC games. It is also extremely capable of emulating classic titles, for those who have mastered this mystical art. The ROG Ally is a bit bulky compared to some competing consoles, but this sale gives you great bang for your portable gaming buck.

Looking to ditch stupid light bulbs for the glorious world of smart lighting? Best Buy sells a Philips Hue Starter Kit in two packs for $90, instead of $130. As the name suggests, this pack includes two bulbs and the company's Bridge device. This Zigbee-powered controller lets you control up to 50 lights and accessories simultaneously through a proprietary app. You can set custom automations and make adjustments from anywhere with a stable Wi-Fi connection.

The Philips Hue range tops our list of best smart light bulbs. We liked that these bulbs offer a wide range of color options, allowing users to easily experiment with ambient lighting. We also liked the mobile app and easy integration with other smart home devices.

If your wrist is feeling a little bare lately, put on a smartwatch. THE Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 highly rated is a good choice here, and the one from Best Buy I'm selling it for $240 instead of $300. It's the latest and greatest release from the company and we called it a “practical, wellness-focused smartwatch” in our official review.

The Galaxy Watch 6 is also on our list of best smart watches, and this is especially true for those locked into the Android ecosystem. Battery life is on point, with around 30 hours of use, even with the always-on display enabled. The watch also makes it easy to record a wide range of health metrics, from heart rate data to menstrual cycle data and beyond. The fall detection feature can be buggy, which may be a problem for some.

If you want to dive into the wild and wacky world of live streaming, you'll need to upgrade your webcam. Logitech's C922 is a decent option with several pro-level features at a price that won't send your bank account into the red. This package usually costs $100, but Best Buy reduced the price by $20.

The pack includes the Logitech C922 webcam and an adjustable tripod mount. The camera records in 1080p at 60 fps. It also has an autofocus feature, a nice 78-degree field of view, and a built-in microphone.
