Although it's not quite on the level of Black Friday, there are often good deals to be found during President's Day weekend. Concrete example: several are on sale. There's a particularly good deal on the 10th generation iPad, which is $100 off to match an all-time high price of $349 on both And .
The 10th generation iPad is a great entry point into Apple tablets.
We gave away the 10th generation iPad in our late 2022 review. This base variant doesn't include a cellular connection and uses the A14 Bionic chip rather than one of Apple's more powerful silicon chipsets. It also has a relatively paltry 64GB of storage. Still, as an entry-level iPad for browsing the web, checking email, and watching videos on that 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display , the 10th generation model more than does the job.
If you have a compatible router and a decent internet plan, you should get pretty fast connectivity from this iPad thanks to its Wi-Fi 6 support. The first-generation Apple Pencil also works with the tablet to help you draw or doodle on the screen.
If you don't mind making compromises to save even more money, you can instead purchase the 9th generation iPad for a . This model still has a Home button (Apple moved Touch ID to the lock button on the 10th generation tablet), which means it has a smaller 10.2-inch screen. Although it has a slower A13 bionic chip, the 9th generation iPad is still a solid option for basic tasks.
Finally, the fifth generation iPad Air is also on sale. The price dropped to if you opt for the purple variant. Although storage remains at 64GB, the iPad Air offers a significant upgrade over standard iPads because it uses Apple's more powerful M1 chip. It also supports the more feature-rich 2nd generation Apple Pencil.
It's worth noting that Apple certainly has upgrades for the iPad in the works. The company could update the range as soon as next month. But if you can't (or don't want to) wait, these are still great deals.
