AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Amarillo's Westgate Shopping Centerwill soon modernize with the renovation of its cinema room.
After a three-year hiatus, the six-screen cinema is expected to reopen around January 26, under the name 'Scene One Westgate Mall Cinemas'. Before its closure, the cinema was owned by Premiere Cinemas and was a second-run cinema which allowed consumers to watch films at a discounted price after they debuted in normal cinemas.
The theater is now owned by Scene One Entertainment and plans to show first-run films. The new theater would have low admission prices for families and will be the first Scene One Entertainment theater in Texas.
