PHILADELPHIA — Sidney Brown has been waiting for his chance to play a big role in the Philadelphia Eagles' defense. His first career interception couldn't have come at a better time.
Brown picked off Kyler Murray and returned an interception 99 yards for a touchdown to help the Eagles lead the Arizona Cardinals 21-6 at halftime. Brown's 99-yard punt return tied Malcolm Jenkins (2015 at Patriots) for the third-longest punt return in Eagles history, trailing only Lito Sheppard (102 yards in 2006 vs. Cowboys and 101 yards in 2004 vs. Panthers). the longest.
The Cardinals had the ball for 21 minutes in the first half, but scored only six points. Jalen Hurts is 11 of 13 for 114 yards and two touchdowns (142.8 rating). Julio Jones has two catches for 34 yards and two scores.
