LeBron James returns for season-ending with Lakers

LeBron James returned to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday after missing the past 13 games with right foot soreness.

He revealed that he had a significant tendon injury and that offseason surgery is possible.

Despite his injury, James scored 19 points in the Lakers’ 118-108 loss to the Chicago Bulls.

The Lakers are currently fifth in the Western Conference and have four of their remaining seven games against teams under .500

They are attempting to avoid missing the playoffs for the second consecutive year and the third time in James’ five seasons in Los Angeles.

James has been fantastic this season, earning an All-Star nod for a record 19th time. He averages 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists and shoots 50.1%

The Lakers have struggled without James on-court production and leadership, going 4-6 during his absence.

The Lakers have not offered an official timetable on when James and Anthony Davis will return to the court together.
