Police Beat for Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024

Marion County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 42-year-old Iuka man for alleged possession of 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. David Linder of Metcalf Road was arrested after he was stopped at Olive and Hamilton in Salem while riding his bike with another person without any lights Monday evening. After the meth was allegedly found, Linder was taken to the Marion County Jail where he was later released on a court summons under the new cashless bond law.

Sandoval Police arrested Alisha Ochs, 40, of Main Street in Sandoval, for alleged possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop. She was taken to the Marion County Jail and later released on summons.

Salem police arrested Coleman Ross, 26, of Gompers Street in Wamac on a no-bail traffic warrant from Clay County. He was taken to the Marion County Jail to await transfer to the Clay County Jail in Louisville.

Andrew Wintz, 40, of South Perrine in Centralia, was arrested by Centralia Police on a no-bail warrant from Wabash County, Indiana.
