Alexis Bellino ended up needing dr. Terry DubrowExpert help when a piercing left her with a nasty infection… TMZ has learned.
Alexis tells us that her ear cartilage piercing had been giving her grief since she got it a year ago… but it wasn't until a hairdresser accidentally hit it last Thursday that she she truly felt the agony. Ouch!
She says her hairdresser informed her that the earring was embedded deeply in her ear and the skin around it was clearly infected and overgrown. Alexis wasted no time and rushed to the emergency room to fix the problem. A smart move!

However, when the doctors brought out the scalpel, Alexis told them to wait… because the only person she would trust near her ear was Terry. Of course, the “Botched” star's wife, Heather Dubrow is Alexis' co-star on “RHOC,” so it's all about keeping it all in the Bravo family.
The big move took place on Monday and Dr. Dubrow, being the champion that he is, even skipped his lunch break to help.
It is said that he managed to tear off Alexis' earring, adorned with four diamonds, without having to make the slightest incision. Now that takes some serious skill.
For his part, Terry tells TMZ he's glad Alexis asked him for help…especially because playing with the infected cartilage in your ear is like playing with fire. He explains to us that the area doesn't have much blood flow, so if things go wrong, it can lead to serious, gnarly infections that can outright destroy your ear, or worse. Yeah, no thanks!

Alexis showers Terry with gratitude… telling us that he is a first-rate surgeon and a super kind friend. She's also thrilled with how Terry squeezed it into his busy schedule as soon as possible and made sure the whole ordeal was as painless as possible. This is the definition of having a true friend in high places!
As for getting another cartilage piercing. She puts her foot down and says never again.
