Caesars Entertainment has laid off several top entertainment executives as part of a company-wide consolidation. Multiple sources with knowledge of the moves confirmed that industry pros Chris Yancey, Amy Naples, Mark Weinstein, Jessica Tindor, Mike Hodin and Paul Shlisky were all absent, among others.
As many as 10 professionals left the company Tuesday — the same day Amy Graca began her tenure as Caesars' senior vice president of entertainment. Graca previously served as the company's senior vice president of ticketing.
The departures come just days after Caesars entertainment president Jason Gastwirth. finished his mandate on New Year's Eve, ending 13 years of collaboration with the company.
Caesars public relations managers and executives did not return messages for comment.
According to Linkedin profiles, Yancey had been the company's vice president of corporate entertainment since September 2018; Shlisky had been director of venue operations since July 2019; Naples has served as vice president of entertainment and attractions marketing since October 2020; Weinstein was a senior executive specializing in brand alliances and sponsorship since 2017; Tindor had been director of the entertainment office since January 2017; Hodin had been regional vice president of entertainment programming and analytics since December 2016.
These moves restructure the entertainment division under a broader corporate umbrella. Graca is the company's top entertainment executive, but there is no position specifically presiding over Las Vegas properties.
Caesars Entertainment maintains its status as a headliner-centric company. The company has exclusive booking partnerships with Live Nation at Planet Hollywood's Bakkt Theater (where Kelly Clarkson just performed on New Year's Eve weekend and Miranda Lambert returns for her final run of shows in March) and at Colosseum at Caesars Palace (where Adele, Garth Brooks and Jerry Seinfeld are among the superstar performers).
The company closed several small capacities places in May 2021. These included the famous Cleopatra's Barge at Caesars Palace. This location has now been handed over to Caspian's Caviar & Cocktails by Clique Hospitality, which is expected to open this spring.
