Variety, ‘Entertainment Tonight’ Team for Golden Globe Awards Pre-Show

Variety And “Entertainment tonight” have teamed up to produce the official digital red carpet pre-show for the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards, which will air January 7 live on CBS and Paramount+.

The digital pre-show will stream live beginning at 3:30 p.m. PT on Varietyon the digital and social platforms of, ETOnline.com, the Golden Globe Awards website and on the digital platforms of 20 other publications owned by Penske Media Corp., parent company of Varietywhich also owns the Globes in a joint venture with Eldridge.

The official Globes pre-show will be hosted by VarietyIt is Marc Malkin And Angelique Jackson and correspondent for “Entertainment Tonight” Rachel Smith. The trio will interview stars as the stars head to the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the ceremony, and feature exclusive footage of the stars arriving at the venue.

Comedian Jo Koy is set to host the Globes, marking his debut as host of a major kudocast.

Malkin, who is Varietyeditor of events and culture, is well known among Hollywood insiders for his many years of work on the red carpet, including his work on the official digital pre-show of the 2023 Globes. Jackson, writer of senior entertainment, is an award-winning writer who hosts numerous mats and other events for Variety. Smith has been with “ET” since 2019 and was named host of its weekend edition last year.
