WWE Raw results: Live recap, grades as Day One show features world heavyweight and women’s world title matches

WWE kicks off the promotion's 2024 schedule Monday night with “Day One Raw,” a card that was designed to showcase big matches. The most important of all the matches scheduled for the card is the main event, in which Seth Rollins will defend his world heavyweight championship against former world champion Drew McIntyre.

McIntyre's personality has changed in recent months, pushed toward the dark side by most of Raw's babyfaces embracing Jey Uso's move to the brand. During his time with The Bloodline, Uso played a significant role in the actions that cost McIntyre the undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns at Clash at the Castle.

This led to McIntyre working with Judgment Day at WarGames during Survivor Series and causing problems with Rollins, which would come to a head on Raw.

On the women's side, Rhea Ripley is set to defend her Women's World Championship against Ivy Nile while a long-awaited showdown between Becky Lynch and Nia Jax is also planned.

CBS Sports will be with you all night with recaps and highlights of all the action from Pechanga Arena in San Diego starting at 8 p.m. ET.
