Nintendo is about to kick off its first event of the year with the Showcase of direct partners focused on upcoming third-party games for Switch. We were able to see the first news on Xbox titles like Penment coming to other platforms and maybe, hopefully, more on the much-delayed Hollow Knight following, Song of Silk. The 25-minute presentation begins at 9 a.m. ET today (February 21) and you can watch it below.
As mentioned, today's Live might be bigger than a typical showcase. Last week, Microsoft announcement that it would start offering some of its exclusive titles on “other consoles,” which likely means the Switch and Sony's PlayStation 5.
Microsoft didn't give many more details, but rumors to quote Rush to Hi-Fi, Penment, Sea of Thieves And Based as it is likely that the first titles will be transferred to other platforms. The only thing we are sure of, however, is that Star Field And Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will remain an Xbox exclusive for the time being.
Aside from that, there are a few upcoming third-party games without a release date, including Contra: Operation Galuga And Penny's Great Escape, so Nintendo could give us more information on this. We also hope to hear about Hollow Knight: Song of Silk which we last heard about in May 2023 was delayed and did not have an updated release window.
