Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Pierce Brosnan share their new year resolutions: ‘Stop drinking’

Stars are setting their intentions for the new year.

Country singer Blake Shelton is planning to make a big change in his life in 2024. He told “Entertainment Tonight” that he's going to try something he's never been able to accomplish before: not drinking alcohol.

“I haven’t been able to stop drinking yet,” Shelton said. “Even cutting down on drinking has been difficult. I mean, it's a resolution. And I'll say it again: it's my New Year's resolution. Either cut down or stop drinking altogether. Let's just say that I said.”

Pierce Brosnan is looking forward to a quieter new year filled with peace and love.

“Let's end the year in good faith, hoping and loving each other. Let's do it. Let's be kind to each other. That would be a good resolution,” Brosnan said.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, Candace Cameron Bure explained that she doesn't like making New Year's resolutions, saying, “I break them anyway and I don't want to feel like a failure.” Instead of making resolutions, she makes a “goal list.”

“Some goals I would like to accomplish for the new year… Actually, I probably say they are prayers, and I have many, many prayer lists throughout the year, but always at the beginning I do kind of a list, you know. God, here's what I'm looking at, here's what I desire, what I want, the goals that I would like to achieve, and then I'm always open to where God is going to take me. guide,” Bure said. “This is how I approach the new year.”

Former “Spy Kids” actress Alexa PenaVega explained that “just living from a place of faith” means “constantly trying to improve ourselves in anyway we can,” so she's always looking for ways to “grow,” regardless resolutions she sets for herself.

“But most importantly, I really want to make sure that everything we do next year is very intentional,” she explained. “I think it's super easy, even though it's peaceful, there's so much peace, we live in chaos all the time because of our schedules. We like to do crazy things. We have three kids, but I want to do I'm sure that intentionality doesn't get lost in the chaos of what we're doing. So I would say next year I really want to focus on being very intentional.

“90210” actress Shannen Doherty is excited to start the new year leaving behind “a turbulent year” filled with “huge health issues” and issues in her personal life, including “a lot of heartbreak and of fear”.

Looking ahead to 2024, Doherty shared that she thinks it will be a “great” year, saying on her Let's Be Clear podcast: “I think I'm actually starting to live the happiest version of my life. “

When it comes to wellness, the “Sweet Escape” singer explained that she's going to try to be more “balanced” in the new year.

“I think it’s probably just to be more consistent,” she said. “I'm one of those people who's one way or the other. All or nothing. So I'm probably trying to be balanced. I don't know if I'll ever get there, but I'm constantly working on it .”

Actor, Dean Cain manifests several things in the new year, one of them being his favorite team winning the Super Bowl. He told Fox News Digital, “The Buffalo Bills are going to win the Super Bowl” and that we all need to “put this on the table right now.” Cain also wants to “moderate the tone a little” this year and be more present with his family.

“I've been traveling so hard, working so hard and doing so much that I think I'll just cut it back. Just try to be home a little more, take care of this guy more (points at himself) ) ), and kind of sort things out and try to move work closer to home so I don't have to travel as much,” he said. “Traveling is great, but the amount of traveling I do is ridiculous, so I wish it were.”

“Stay with my parents. My dad just turned 80 this year and they live five minutes away,” he continued. “So take some time to slow things down. Stop and smell the roses. As Ferris Bueller says, 'Life happens pretty fast,' so I'm going to try to do a little more of that this year.”
