Vote for ICC Men’s Player of the Month – February 2023

Players nominated for ICC Men’s player of month

Three cricket players have been nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for February 2023. Harry Brook from England, Ravindra Jadeja from India, and Gudakesh Motie from West Indies are in contention for the award.

Harry Brook, a 24-year-old batsman from Yorkshire, scored two fifties and a hundred in the Test series against New Zealand. He hit half-centuries in both innings of the first Test, including a blistering 89 from 81 deliveries, and a rapid 54 from 41 in the second Test. His career-best knock of 186 from 176 balls in the second Test helped England secure a commanding position, despite losing the game by one run. Brook also earned his maiden wicket in the game, dismissing Kane Williamson.

Ravindra Jadeja, the star all-rounder from India, returned to international cricket after an injury layoff with back-to-back match-winning performances. He picked up superb figures of 5/47 in the first innings of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Nagpur, and his 2/34 helped bundle Australia out for an innings defeat. In the second Test, Jadeja’s slow left-arm orthodox spin ripped through the Australia line-up, bowling the tourists out for 113. His 7/42 turned the game on its head, as India secured a comfortable six-wicket win. Jadeja won the Player of the Match award in both games.

Gudakesh Motie, the left-arm spinner from West Indies, picked 19 wickets in the two-Test series against Zimbabwe to help his side secure a 1-0 series win. After a slow start in the first Test, Motie picked 4/50 from his 24 overs in the second innings to force Zimbabwe to fight for a draw. He was in top form in the second Test, picking 13/99 in an innings victory for his team. His performance earned him both the Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards.

Now it’s up to the fans to vote for their favorite player and decide who will win the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for February 2023.
